Social Networking with Literary Characters

Trying to engage middle school students with literary analysis questions or historical events is not always an easy task. Last year I gave an assignment where students created a "social network" page for the main character of their novel. This year while teaching American history I thought it might be fun to have students create social network pages for a person in history. In history, we are moving into the Boston Tea Party and  it should be interesting to create a "page" from the point of view of say Samuel Adams. I'll update you on how this turns out...
