Mason Jar Salad

My friend told me about these
great Mason Jar salads floating around
what a great idea for packing lunches for the week!
simply layer your salad with dressing on the bottom,
cheese or chopped bell peppers,  chicken, beans,
tomatoes, carrots, then top with greens.
Pop on the lid and take on the go...when
you're ready to eat, just shake it up and enjoy!

Ice Cubes

Dr. Oz had all the ladies in the
audience wearing bathing suits the
other day! BRAVE!
Here's his little recipe to help belly bloat,
gonna try this one...

Lemon Peppermint Ice Cubes
Indigestion is one of the most common causes of bloating. Peppermint improves the flow of bile to digest fats better. Lemon adds flavor so you won’t have to use sweeteners that can also cause bloating.

2 1/2 cups lemon juice
15 peppermint leaves

Freeze peppermint leaves in lemon juice in an ice cube tray. Add 3 cubes to every glass of water at least 3 times a day, or with meals.

I recently saw a day planner
on Pinterest with washi tape
on dates to designate important info...
I love it for my lesson plans!
I usually shy away from sharpies or markers because
they show through the pages...yes, OCD...but now
writing on washi tape it's no problem!

Why I Love Teaching

our sweet staff had students write letters
to teachers who have inspired them...
Awe! This reminds me why I love teaching!!
"You make us have fun by reading fun
books for entertainment."

so sweet!

Ultimately, I know my students may not remember
the stories they read in middle school, but it is my hope
that they remember the feeling books gave them.
The opportunity to meet new characters, travel to
new lands, empathize with others...all qualities
of a lifelong reader! Hope all you teachers are
feeling appreciated this week for Teacher Appreciation!
