ice cream toppings
does your family love ice cream? and toppings?
well, you need this....
this topping mill is only $25 bucks!
how much fun will the kids have grinding up
their own ice cream/frozen yogurt toppings?
you can find it here at
I found this awesome
for painting signs...
and had to try it on some pallet pieces~
simply print out the letters in a cute font...
the tutorial said to color in charcoal on the back
and then trace over the top on your wood
then the image would transfer~however,
I used the rough side of the wood
and had to cut out the letters and trace them
actually onto the wood...
then you can use a Sharpie to trace and color in
I became impatient with the Sharpie...
then used another marker,
followed by a few coats of paint
to get the color right
then I dappled on some white paint
to give it a little texture,
and sanded over the top a bit...
whallaaa, cuteness in the kids' bathroom!
here's a peak at the pain-in-the-behind
shower curtain I stitched up (an Anthro knock-off)...
I'm still struggling with a paint color or wallpaper for
the walls...what to do???
I picked up a darling stencil pattern,
but I am not sure if I want to dive into
that commitment on all surfaces or not....
this bathroom and our laundry room
are still awaiting a paint job.
it's on my summer to-do list...
I'm leaning towards a sea green or gray in this
bathroom (maybe with the stencil maybe not?)

love it! also love lazy summer mornings with my
coffee and kindle while the kiddos sleep in...
yes, more beach pix..
the kids were lined up using their boogie boards
as skim boards...
I added a sheet of scrapbook paper to
the insides of my SB water cup...
super easy and cute!
how adorable is this print from
Jones Design Co
it's for the kids' bathroom re-do,
which I'm still in the middle of....
linking up with LifeRearranged...
have a wonderful Friday and a great weekend
here's an inexpensive way to organize your
car's center console...pencil cases!
my summer~organizing~bucket list
included gutting out the junk in my car...
right now pencil cases are under a buck
in the back-to-school section...
one for first aid, tissues, snacks, utensils, etc...
one for cords and chargers...
and one for pencils, pens, post-it notes, and gum...
now I am happy! I can find what I need in the console...
and all for three bucks worth of containers
yes, we have a problem.....
a small s'mores addiction perhaps?
going to try these delish s'mores brownies...
I had to share this awesome idea I
found on Pinterest
we are remodeling/redecorating the younger boys' room,
and although I wanted to purchase some awesome lamps
from somewhere swanky like Pottery Barn...
I think I'll opt for this easy idea in case they want
to remodel again, switch rooms, you know that whole thing:)
(plus I don't have to make the hubs hard-wire anything)
you know how it is at the beach or pool
with friends and family and bunches of kids....
somehow we have multiples of the same towel...
it's time to leave and you're either taking or leaving
a random towel...
I started pinning my
to our beach towels...
oh so cute and easy to find!
you can buy them
The Pleated Poppy

we are documenting some
sweet summer memories on sea shells...
if you live near the shore collect
them on beach trips...or buy them
(who doesn't love stuff that's reminiscent
of summer? collected or purchased)
use a sharpie and have each family
member write down 3 or 4 of
their favorite memories...
set your shells on a little dish on
your coffee table or end table...
awe sweet sweet summer....
