spicy buffalo cauliflower

my daughter found THIS recipe on Pinterest...

here's how you make it...be forewarned...it's delish AND addicting...

  • 1 head cauliflower
  • For the batter:
  • Dash of Frank’s Original Hot Sauce, or whatever kind you like
  • ½ c. white rice flour
  • ½ c. water
  • Pinch salt
For the Buffalo sauce:
  • ¼ c. Frank’s Hot Sauce
  • ¼ c. oil, canola oil works best
  • Pinch salt
  1. Preheat oven to 450 degrees. Mix together the batter ingredients in a small bowl. Dip the cauliflower in the batter until coated evenly then place on greased baking sheet. Bake for about 15 minutes or until the batter hardens.
  2. Mix together sauce ingredients in a small bowl. Once the cauliflower are done baking, brush them with the hot sauce mixture and bake again for a few more minutes, until cauliflower is crispy.
  3. Remove from oven. You may want to add a bit more buffalo sauce to taste.

I adore chalkboard paint...
and I love having little questions going around the house like this~

it's a fun way to ask the kids things...pick a new question each day :)

{oh, and time to start planning the super bowl spread...what to make ???}

happy Friday!
pretty much all of my pictures are
from the fun anniversary weekend
the hubs and I enjoyed last week...

museum hopping at Balboa Park

what a gorgeous day...our splash of cold is gone
and we lavished in 70 degree weather this day~

so, this chocolate exhibit was THE BEST...

we really loved this life sized wall of chocolates...
and of course the exhibit dumps you out in to
none other than a little candy store filled with chocolates :)

we stayed at this amazing little hotel in the Gaslamp Quarter
with an awesome rooftop bar and a perfect view of Petco Park~Padres field...

we sat by the outdoor fire and had a drink while the sun set...

we are not big fancy travelers, but we thought this room was pretty cool...
there was even a Keurig machine!!!

this was too funny...in the little international cottages at
Balboa Park the U.S. cottage had this sitting on the piano...
we have a truckload of teenagers right now,
they don't sing {maybe others do...but not ours}

to top it all off a full-blown prime rib dinner {this is the life}

linking up with...

back to reality now but what a fun, relaxing weekend that was! happy Friday :)

pen loop

I can't believe that before now I'd never stepped foot in
The Container Store...
It's like heaven for organizing~type A peeps...

this is my favorite little item: a pen loop
you can get it HERE

my lesson planner and personal calendar are happy, too

wedding gift idea

I don't know about you, but I love to find
unique gifts to give for weddings, showers, birthdays, etc...

when the hubs and I got married my sweet friend
gave me some amazing perfume...
however, she said
"don't wear this until your wedding day,
promise not to wear it until then... When you wear it in the
years to come it will remind you of that special day."

lucky for me, I received a new bottle for Christmas {whoohoo}
BUT it's true, wearing it now reminds me of our wedding day...
and what a great idea for a gift for any girl's wedding, eh ????

what a nice timeline of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.s' Legacy...
MLK Infographic
thanks Allison

happy anniversary honey!
how blessed we are :)

and wow how time flies!

happiest Friday...

this doggie is never calm...
however, after a very long walk she was cuddling
with me while the kids played tennis

one of my little gifts for the hubs...just wrote all around this box
instead of wrapping it up...

ok, so it's still January but I like to get a full month
of whatever holiday is approaching...time for some hearts...

and conversation hearts and roses...

and because I don't have a ton of Valentine's decor these
little hearts on sticks are stuck in plants around the house...

happy weekend!!!

I changed up a boring little lampshade to this...

happy crafting :)

wrapping station

after painting our laundry room I was looking for some
additional storage ideas...

settled on these plant baskets for a wrapping station...

they are on sale at Lowe's right now for under $7 bucks a pop
in the garden center (and Target dollar spot wrapping
paper fits nicely inside)

linking up with Beyond the Picket Fence...

so I won't put the trailer up because
it's not for the kiddos to see...but
if you get a date night
and are close to or around 40 and have teens
and think you can relate...GO SEE THIS !!!!!
THIS IS 40 is hilarious, gut busting funny...

happy weekend!

how funny is this sticker...?

the hubs and I loved this red wagon on our little trip...

a walk through the park was a little chilly on the way to the mall...

finally painted the laundry room...

a delish little combo~ coffee and gingerbread pita chips, yum :)
